Waiting for the spring…

En attendant le printemps…

The magnificent park that surrounds  the château receives the attentive care of Fabien, our groundskeeper. Palm trees, hydrangeas and shrubs are covered during the winter months to protect them from the nighttime frost (the climate is very mild in the area – it is not unusual to have temperatures around 15°C in December – but nighttime frosts can be harmful to the plants). And, we have prepared for abundant spring blossoms: more than a thousand bulbs have been planted this past autumn!
